How long does Juvederm filler last?
On average, Juvéderm® lasts for 6 to 12 months*, but each patient absorbs and breaks down Hyaluronic Acid differently. Different areas of the face, depending on the degree of movement, will lose the effect of Juvederm filler at different rates. Other factors may also contribute to how long the Juvederm injections lasts. For example, with sun exposure the hyaluronic acid may abate more quickly.
What is a downtime after Juvederm injections?
Because Juvederm injectable gel is not considered a surgery, the simple and safe treatment has minimal recovery or downtime. To minimize the risks of temporary side effects, you should avoid exercise, excessive sun or heat exposure, and consumption of alcohol for the first 24 hours following treatment. . These side effects may include redness, swelling, and/or itching at the treatment sites.
